Dell Optiplex from 2008
Still running strong without any issues whatsoever.
Yes. That's check in the w column. I haven't heard gateway since my Grandma had one wwaaaayyyy back 🤣
Got my Gateway from my senior citizen aunt who was just going to throw it away. I thought to myself hey, this thing is in pretty good condition. It could totally be a media center pc to run jellyfin off of. Fucking love it. Handles GNOME just fine, upgraded the ram, threw in a 1tb ssd. Such a mighty little dual core desktop pc.
The dell optiplex works just fine as well, but I don't ask it to do too much. It is mainly used for data recovery, watching dvds, or very light workloads. Hardly use it anymore, but hey, works just fine and dandy whenever I need it to use it lol!
I love how Linux can make even the simplest and oldest PCs just be like "What we doin?!" I've been thinking about an SSD for awhile.
