This is madness. I think the countries who don't do this to their citizens will end up on top. I think it is wise to be on the lookout for relocation options if you happen to live in one of the "welfare" countries, especially in the Nordics. They will eventually run out of money and people to tax at which point they will collapse to 3rd world tier.
