Booking has always been a good option to find hostels and hotels for me. I think you should give it a shot.
Worked great in the South Pacific!
Their prices have gone dramatically the last couple of years, I recommend trying to hook directly with hotels these days…
Looks like you're right. $10 a night cheaper to book direct on the first hotel I looked at.
i use travala a lot, but haven't in El Salvador... have a blast!
