I would love to have a 3rd party candidate win, and RFK, Jr. is really good on several subjects of which Biden and Trump are bad to terrible. I just can't get past him pushing abortions and wanting to give lots of personal handouts of other people's money to those "in need". I think he is an honorable man, but I just can't get past his stance on those 2 issues.

The path I see is that even if he doesn't win, he will set some impressive records as an independent. What you will see going forward is a lot more independent candidates running in a lot more races, and that will be good for politics in America. So supporting Kennedy right now is a win/win IMO.
Even though I don't want him to win (I also don't want any of the available candidates), I was considering voting for him in the primary because I know my state will go heavily for Trump. My vote won't make a difference.
I've done that for a while. I really want 3rd party candidates to get at least double digit vote percentages and the closer to the two parties, the better. If we can get a 3rd party candidate close enough to the 2 parties, then maybe people will actually vote 3rd party and not use the excuse that they don't want to waste their vote.
My state votes Republican by a 30% margin no matter who the candidate is. I'm all in for Kennedy over Trump or Biden though.
On This Day feed is pretty fantastic that I got to relive this random political take which seems like a Century ago.
