By now, I’ve reached the point on Facebook where I don’t dare to share anything anymore. I never posted much before either, but the situation really escalated during the pandemic. Back then, whenever I shared something, it was either censored by Facebook or torn apart by my friends.

Since then, the censorship has eased up. My friends, however, have changed tactics – they simply quietly unfriend me instead. It’s a crappy feeling when years-long friendships go down the drain just because I share a political joke once a month. So, I’ve decided to strictly post nothing at all.

Four months ago, I started actively using Nostr. Since then, I’ve already gained more followers here than I ever had Facebook friends – after 15 years of using Facebook.

So, yeah. That’s how it is.
