⚡️🇬🇧 The UK landfill containing James Howells' alleged hard drive with 7500 #Bitcoin inside is set to close.

"The landfill has been in operation since the early 2000s and is reaching the end of its life, so the council is working on a planned closure of the site over the next two years" announced a spokesperson for Newport Council.

The council has obtained planning permission for a solar farm on part of the land, which was approved in August.

Some still doubt the veracity of James Howells' story, but if it were true, nearly $730 million would disappear forever with the landfill.
