there is "some private data" and there is "all private data"
if you want more fine grained control how about you propose a mechanism for app specific passwords to isolate apps from each other
but you do realise that app state for many general things should NOT be app specific

like whether i want you to put your app's ID on my events
if you don't want to share private data
