relay.tools is a bitcoin only business, I accept bitcoin, I pay for servers with fiat because I cannot find hosting that accepts bitcoin that is worth a shit. There are many things I cannot pay for with bitcoin directly because it is not a payment option. I like to pay for other people's time or products when they provide value to the business in bitcoin, but if they do not accept bitcoin then I still will pay them for the value they provide. The only way this business will ever work, is by saving in bitcoin. Because the cost of my time doing this, and the expenditure, far exceeds what anyone could ever pay me in fiat in that given moment. But in a year or two, then it might.

I think everyone should try running their business like this because I believe it can make any business more successful. HODL business.

And yes, part of why I'm running this business is because I do want bitcoin to succeed. I just have my own opinions on what that looks like.

I will not over pay for hosting simply to prove that I can spend bitcoin, this makes no business sense. My business not anonymous so the value prop is not there. I will leverage the bitcoin and pay for hosting with fiat while saving the difference in bitcoin so that it can gain value for the business in the long term.

I unfortunately only utilize fiat when Crypto isn't available to me, or when the crypto rails are acting silly, and I don't want to look like an idiot like people who don't have enough money on their ebt, and credit cards.

I prefer to pay in crypto but begrudgingly pay in fiat when it's more advantageous to do so.

If I had more money I would be willing to brunt the conversion costs, and fees but right now I don't, so I go with what's more cost effective at the moment as well.

Just my thoughts.

Hopefully we built the future for crypto products where the offers are negligible, and cost conversions plus fees are about the same, or cheaper than fiat, as well as offering better products than fiat too of course.

Of course I agree with spend and replace, absolutely. This is no different than HODL though, because you're still saving in bitcoin. Your chart here, explains it.
