It's important to push back on bills and law that violate rights so people know there is a voice against it, but Snowden taught us what we sort of knew deep down: they are always watching, listening, collecting, and waiting to use it all against you. There is no law.
If that were true then it would imply that the government does in fact lie to its people. So yeah, can't be true /s
