It saddens me to see how friends had to delete and block their social media accounts for fear of going to jail just for telling what is happening in Venezuela.
It's not social media that censors us; it's the governments.

Do they know about nostr?
Many people don't know about Nostr, and even though I try to teach them, it doesn't change the fact that their phones are confiscated to check what they have, and if they have anything related to protests or against the dictatorship, they are arrested or face even worse consequences
What about using a desktop or laptop instead? Makes it a little harder to check for content. Especially if everyone walks around with cheap $100 Chromebooks.
That is sad to see.
The governments will always seek to expand and abuse their power.
It is up to us to use technology that makes this government overreach impossible.
