Illinois has a nuclear plant over here and there are like almost no big mining farms in the state 🤷♂️ Why nobody tried to have a deal with govt and build a facility yet ?

Illinois has a ton of nuclear! Kansas and Nebraska are better candidates for mining with nuclear though. They get rekt on electric rates because of the over build out of wind power.
Illinois has the most nuclear in the US, but is insanely over regulated. That would be my guess why. Probably will be an opportunity for a company in the near future though. IL has insane net zero carbon policies so will be forced to add more nuclear or become like developing country with rolling blackouts. Mining can help provide bootstrapping income to build out this supply.
That’s what I’m saying !
Or abandon net zero and build out hydrocarbons in competition with nuclear making lots of abundant cheap energy but we’ll see what happens.
