I was thinking for my alternative Nostr trending algorithms for nostr.land and feeds that each person gets an exposure limit.

If they exceed it they can’t show up until a while later. And also, it has to be something above your baseline level of interactions to show people especially find it interesting.

I like that idea too, especially the above baseline part because popular people will always be popular. It makes no sense try to fight that. Why not highlight why they are popular rather than glorifying everything they say, and it levels the playing field a little for everyone.

Kind 1s, highlights, quotes, voice notes, long-form, reposted replies. I don't know enough to know if that last one is possible possible. No more than 3 hashtags. And yes, on the algorithm idea. I think that has interesting possibilities. Does that sound rational?
