So if I have to do another extra step for doing Cashu privacy payments over lightning. Why wouldn't I just swap btc for xmr and do privacy much easier than this non custodial mint stuff? Asking for a friend.

Man, I'm for what works the best and is easiest to use. I can do monero as it works just like bitcoin, and it's self custody... All the other bullshit 🤷🏼‍♂️ I can barely figure it out... I'm 55 BTW. I just want something that works without any extra BS.
