Idk who needs to hear this but you are only “running Bitcoin” if you run a node

On the bright side, sats can still be sent to cold storage without your own node, and at least for now, you’re very unlikely to be censored by whatever node you’re hooked up to

Btw to clarify my point, nodes serve valid transactions to miners which they use to find blocks. So if you don’t run your own node, you trust that whatever default node you do use will not censor you (also privacy and stuff to consider here)
