How long did that take? Wife & I are planning to bring the fam over for the solar eclipse in July 2028. Thinking of renting a van and driving around for a month.

Hey Greg, we’ve been on the road since 1st Feb 25. There’s a lot of variability and you could certainly do it quicker, but would I want to? Probably not.

As it stands now we felt like a lot of this time was spent in a car.

She’s a big old country and there’s a million ways to think about it.

Our rule of thumb, travel now more than 300km, stay at least 3 nights.
