After a month of the standing desk/walking pad (aka treadmill) setup, I can say it’s a game changer.

I get a ton more movement in daily. I also just feel better. It’s a nice add in. Even if it’s a super busy day, I feel like I’m doing something.

It was kind of an adjustment after using the commercial treadmills at the gym, which I would use on a 9 incline at a speed of 3.0.

But low-speed walking has its benefits. Lower average weight for 5 weeks straight and a lower resting heart rate. I’ve even seen good increases in HRV.

Made other changes too, like more Pilates, a punching bag, and a single kettlebell for workouts.

As I get older I care less and less about material things, and just want peace and quiet.
