I used to LOVE thanksgiving. I would sleep in, pop on some sweatpants, scarf down some food, take a nap, wake up, smoke a joint, and eat some more.
Now…I’m at that stage of life…where I am the one doing the cooking and cleaning.

Life comes atcha fast
Apparently so. Now I’m all in a rush and I just wanna go back to sleep 😂🫂
It’s like 9 hours of work! Have fun! 🤩
Literal work 😂 and I’m not even that good a cook
Whatcha cooking?
I’m just making mashed potatoes/gravy and stuffing. I don’t eat turkey so I bought a few pieces of premade breast to heat up with Puzzito and a pie.
I see what your kitchen pushes out you have a knack for it kid
Made my day 🫂 I enjoy it, just new
I found Top chef was a good way to find elevated ideas. But to change your cooking style on Netflix there
Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat.
Changed the way I cook.
I just make everything in the air fryer now 😆
I’ve never seen it and maybe it’s time
When you put it that way, thanksgiving sucks 😂
Put on ur apron and git 2 work lady
Well, next year you can be the new mom or pregnant lady who doesn't need to do anything 😎😇
I'm not really a cook, but I did considered bringing meatballs that I could heat up in the microwave. They're a tradition on Christmas buffet tables in Sweden, but I may not even do that.
The American ladies in the family are all cooking though.
The men left to go golfing.
That’s a great point 🤭 I would like to just sit around and eat one more time
I was definitely in that stage for a long time. Now all mine are grown and I have 2 of my 3 kids married. And they have all taken over. Which is so fun for me. I have moved to supervisor and helper and I love it. They each take a few things they are in charge of and ask questions or need help. And then I bask in my blessings. Each stage is beautiful and enjoyable but it is whatever you make of it.
Happiest thanksgiving to you!
That’s probably such a neat feeling/experience to observe🥰 watching your children transition into their own adult roles
