In Japan, anyways, they take a big pay cut from English teacher for a teensy weensy bit higher social status. Though, last I heard, English teachers are making 2 hour commute and instant ramen 3 nights a week wages. There's too many trust fund kids willing to work for peanuts for "the experience" 🙄

Those Weebs should have learned Chinese instead. There is like a billion more of them than Japanese.

English teachers in China or Taiwan still make a decent living.

Then you can fly to Japan for cheap to attend those homo saylor moon conventions.
