I see a lot of critics attacking bitcoiners for saving instead of spending. but bitcoin is money. whether you save it or spend it, you're serving the same purpose. the hard truth is, as long as fiat keeps flooding the system with unlimited supply, bitcoin will remain a store of value first and a medium of exchange second. and if fiat survives a little more, that dynamic will probably last for a few more decades. also, the more people save in bitcoin, the more they'll eventually spend it. you can't spend money you never saved.
Discussion
Those you mean should attack the paper bitcoin ones, not the HODLRs. Those are the problem, the ETF, hedge funds and not self-cudtody ones.
Agreed. I mostly agreed with Booth on his last WIM appearance but nobody is right 100% of the time, and wealth is resources reserved, not spending as soon as you have it.

Exactly. You can't spend what isn't saved. If someone criticizes you for saving, that means they hate you and want you to be a slave for some duration before murdering you. Explicitly - that is what is in their heart. One one hand, they pretend the duration of saving is bad - what makes a shorter duration better than a longer duration? That's madness. On the other hand, perhaps they want that duration to he negative - spend with debt, then owe your life to someone else. How could this mentality be anything other than slavery?
So I'll say it again : they hate you, they want to enslave you, and they're mad that we escaped slavery.
I buy a few things when available for sats. Mostly bitcoin/Nostr related stuff…most of my life’s expenses can’t be paid in bitcoin. And I feel like what I spend in bitcoin now could be worth so much more in the future. I think there needs to be a long term plateau in BTC price (and obviously more businesses accepting it) before people will spend more.
