Considering all the talk about making Nostr “easy” for “normies” (however you define those terms) I’d just like to point out that Twitter was and is confusing af until you learn it. I had it for years before it finally clicked. I have several “normie” family and friends that still tell me they don’t understand it, but they just follow a few accounts there for their announcements/news. Making Nostr easy to use is a very broad and poorly-defined goal. I think maybe it’s better to focus on making particular activities easy on Nostr. Like, make it easy to post and browse photos and videos. Make it easy to search for current events. Make it easy to ________.

There are novel things about nostr for most users (i.e. key mgmt, relays, interoperability).
What is/was confusing about twitter is the use case, not how to interact with it but what to use it for. Which is also the case for twitter-like usecase of nostr.
When I think of "making nostr easier for normies" I think of making interacting with what's different about nostr compared to the rest of the internet, easier. Still, each use case will have to fend for itself.
I think this space will be leap-and-bounds better within the next few months, tons of work being done.
Love it. Yes, Nostr really shines when the fundamentals of keys/relays/interoperability click for a user. It’s truly an “aha moment”, Nostr’s superpower, and I appreciate what you’re doing to focus on improving user interaction with those. Important for everyone to remember Nostr is already leaps and bounds better compared to a year ago.
Make it easy to zap, maybe give the option to make a new wallet at the creation of a new account with a custodial LN wallet partner on a nostr client. That can help the new users who come to nostr without knowing anything about bitcoin to receive their first sats and make them know more about btc and non-custodial wallets at the moment to withdraw their sats
