Private #noderunners, redundancy in LSP channels: dumb or smart? Amount of receiving capacity seems totally overkill from even just one fat my current level, but should there be at least two to mitigate downed channel risk?

I am in the same boat. One big channel with megalith. During the #zapathon the other day, they went down and my zaps didn't go through. Thinking about setting up another now.

Yeah thinking I'm going for a slight amount of redundancy on both receiving/spending style channels. All private since I have my training wheels on, but just trying to be robust 👌

Best practice is 2-3 channels minimum to reduce routing failures and improve redundancy if one of the channels is offline for any period of time.

Sizing: consider the biggest payment you’d expect to make and/or receive and double that. That would likely be a decent size for each individual channel.

🙇🏻‍♂️ Guessing that goes for both receiving and spending channels. LSPs seem geared towards increasing my receiving capacity while the...other kind seems to afford me spending liquidity.

Yes, LSP channels will be all inbound (receiving) when they are first opened. You can somply open an outbound channel of your own to a well-connected node for the spending side of things.
