Thanks, it is so cool that it's even possible, right? I taught in South Korea and China for about 7 years and boy, was it an adventure. Yes, I teach online using differing tools. Google Meet has been working out pretty well for the face to face interaction.

It is really cool. Tools like HiveTalk allow us to do this without Google or a bank account.
If you're ever deemed illegal by fiat by a government for whatever reason, that government could easily tell Google and your bank to ban you, but they would need to shut the Internet off to stop you on nostr.
That's the power of freedom tech.
Technological autonomy is super valuable and powerful. I'm only accepting payments through Lightning and Nostr right now, so our business payments are already separate from banks.
I've experimented with Hive Talk, however it lags somewhat as of now but I'm hoping they'll improve it to be virtually instant. I would much rather our face to face internet interactions were separate from centralized platforms.
But we're gradually working towards autonomy in most if not all areas of life, as a community, using decentralized software, and I'm excited about that future and to be relatively close to the cutting edge of it.
That's awesome. Hive talk is very early days. There's a new version at honey.hivetalk.com, but I only tried it once.
