Actually, my husband just removed it with Carb & Choke cleaner.
I was about to say either that or brake cleaner should take it off too. Or an alcohol wipe. Really several options for regular ol permanent marker. The sharpie Pro and Milwaukee Inkzall are a little harder to remove though.
