Why are “democracies” mentioned instead of “democracy”? And why isn’t it the first point in the list?
Because of interpretive sovereignity:
- “save the children” means what they do is good. No questions allowed
- “societies” means whatever you include
- “democracies” means the countries you include and not the ideal

I don’t believe “cancel-culture” is the right term. I think it’s just neo-liberal marketing-speak coming from SEO texters. They want to reduce free speech to a soft all-pleasing marketing-speak with no edges.

That’s the same thing, isn’t it? Outliers don’t go well with optimizing, so you remove them first. That’s 101 of data sanitation, otherwise your model/message will over- or under-fit.

In Canada they have government cancellation of truck drivers. In the UK they have corporate cancellation of politicians 🫥
I just don’t like the word “cancellation” because it’s connoted with the woke movement. What happens here instead is good old oppression.
