A goldbug is someone who understands at least part of the problem with fiat —unsound money created out of thin air ad infinitum—but fails to see an internet-native form of money is needed, as gold cannot be transported across the internet.

I would also add that they do not understand the importance of unconfiscatable. You can't have sound money if it can centralized.

History teaches this:
The internet is not forever. When the internet fails so goes your cryptocurrency.
A pocket full of gold coins carries easy and has always been money.

I can understand their distrust but I need something I can buy in small quantities, something that can be stored indiscreetly, something that has a good market, something hard to conterfiet.
