Highly recommend doing the Chaincode seminars if you are interested in how Bitcoin and Lightning work. I did both and enjoyed them a lot, they gave me the knowledge and confidence I needed to apply for a job in the space and was lucky enough to get it!

Not limited to senior devs! If you’re serious about leveling up, Chaincode will provide you with all the resources you need. You do the work but they give you the path and support for success.

It’s truly unlike any program out there. If this was around in 2016 when I started paying attention to bitcoin, I would have joined the world of bitcoin open source (BOSS, because bitcoin + FOSS = BOSS) much, much sooner. I still made it, but it took me a lot longer to find my way 😄 (my first job at a bitcoin company was early 2019).

Like much of open source, for the BOSS program, attitude and willingness to do the work are valued more than experience.

I'm guessing the 10+ hours a week is like 15+ hours a week if you come in with very little C++ or rust experience?

I wouldn’t let a limited knowledge of c++ or rust hold you back if the program is something you are enthusiastic about. You could always start it and take a step back if the time commitment is too much.
