brainstorm.ninja list creation works well for this. Create a list, use client that supports list feeds (amethyst, nos, nostrudel, etc), follow people from browsing that feed. It's not so easy to access on mobile. Jumble.social relay feeds and the Safer Global feed are bit easier & work well too.

Would love to see clients point more towards discovery tools, dvms & relay feeds than trying to manage it themselves.
