In theory, I agree, but I keep going back to it. Raspiblitz never worked for me with what hardware I could get in Argentina. And raspibolt (manual setup on command line) works but many things I can’t seem to get working.

Therefore I opt for Umbrel with only the most core apps installed. My only concern is one day they’ll be (or already are) compromised and can backdoor or fuck with it. I am hoping this is being monitored by the technically competent actively. I am trusting it for the time being. For me, for now, it Just Works.

Yes definitely the easiest to get set up and run. If you keep the apps to strictly the essential and aren’t looking to run a robust routing node (just personal use) it’s probably fine. Whatever works for you is most important.

Yeah my main use case is for self hosting my sats for tips and such.
