I think it’s the same reason that during my times there, i never encountered a bidet hose even in a private WC.

(It’s great that in most of #Asia they exist even in public restrooms. When some body part is dirty, we use water to clean it, rather than just wiping it with a piece of paper.

That also prevented the toilet paper panics they had during the Chinese #virus plandemic.)
