I believe it is regarding Musk's vocal disagreement with MAGA this past week on imigration policy. I've not been following it closely but does indeed seem funny.

What did he say? That they need immigration because he knows their nation can’t function without them (I mean; the whole name is a nation of immigrants)?
Not sure what was actually said (or not said). Seems like it was over H1B visas, so basically that tech companies require an excemption within imigration law so they can hire foriegn workers at lower pay. Average MAGA is more nationalistic and really just wants less imigrants - the whole economic/accelerationist motive is beyond their ideology.
