Probably someone doing it automatically or manually in hopes of getting people to follow them and enter the WoT
Automatically. Either to spam people's attention for fun or to promote WoT filtering, which is the only real solution.
And we will rue the day when an npub with an established reputations starts carrying out these attacks, bypassing WoT, but also jeopardizing their own reputation in the process.
