In 1986, the year this song was a hit: I was a fresh faced18yr old, taking a gap year from school before ANYONE even knew what a gap year was (or any communicative, real time technology existed)

This was a year to find myself between high school and college.

I travelled across the GRAND USA as a carefree Aussie, who surprised most Americans that Australians even existed outside of “Crocodile Dundee” and that we actually spoke English..

This song “Little Pink Houses” was our anthem as we travelled from the west to east coast - this song, on repeat.

Here we are some 39yrs later and it’s your country again that is paving the way for my journey into the great unknown of adventure.

Society has always been broken, it just depends how much you really want to fix it.
