I think filters would be unsuccessful, although people can use whatever filter they want. I donât support softforks or things to limit it.
In general I think itâs important to keep bitcoin âdumbâ because thatâs important for security. But there will always be some ways to get arbitrary data into it and some of it is useful. Fees help determine spam from subjective value over a long enough timeframe but the base layer needs to be kept simple.
