So the hint I'd give you is, if anyone around you is asking about your special interest then they're probably interested in more than just your special interest.
It can be annoying because it's all subtle communication, but sometimes just directly ask, "maybe I'm getting the wrong vibe but, are you flirting with me?"
Any answer other than a direct no is a yes. "What?! You think I was flirting with you? 🫦" = Yes I am obvs flirting with you.
