Is now a great time to get into coding because of AI or is it a horrible time because of AI?

I used to only know how to code a little, now with chat gpt, I'm like basically a software engineer now. You should absolutely learn to code, though. AI just makes it way easier.
Do you think AI will be coding for us in a matter of years?
I don’t want to put my eggs in a basket that is potentially extinct in the near future.
