Freedom brings comfort, and the comfort zone is the least productive.
Sometimes lack of freedom, scarcity, and pressured environments bring quality results and effectivity.
Our chemistry admires freedom fighters, not their descendants and politicians.
I think this largely depends on mindset. Some thrive being free and create their own pressure and have natural drive, others need the push of social convention, boss/mentor and shame of failure.
Agree, We are humans and we have different lives and mindsets.
But everyone should aim to get better somehow.
