"Comments & Replies are not Noise — they are part of what makes a post interesting and worth stopping for".

Someone asked if there an option where only posts be shown on feed page and hide comments and replies, but i actually think that hiding comments and replies from the main feed might not be a good idea and ill tell you why.

Most of times when people scroll, they dont stop just because of the post title -- especially if it doesnt immediately look interesting. Many users just keep scrolling without opening the post, but when comments and replies are visible, they can catch attentions.

Sometimes the real value, important informations, or interesting discussions are happening in the comments, not just in the original post.

Also seeing active conversations shows that a post is worth engaging with. It makes the feed feel more alive and gives people more reasons to stop scrolling and read.

So instead of hiding comments, maybe its better to find a way to display them in a clean, organized way without making the feed messy.

Yes, I agree, I much prefer to have comments. That's part of the magic of social media and BChat.

However, there's no harm in having an option to switch off replies for users who want that. Replies by default, option to hide if desired.

There's something to be said for an X like approach where only top level posts are shown, it's cleaner especially on a phone screen. Since the number of replies and likes are shown it's immediately clear which post are potentially worth tapping on and expanding.

Right now BChat's notification system isn't super reliable so it's beneficial to see pretty much everything so I know I don't miss a reply to my post/reply but other than that I usually know when I see a post whether I'm interested to see what other have to say about this, certainly no need to show multiple levels deep by default.
