It uses https://github.com/getAlby/splitaddress - each post has a custom lightning address which splits and forwards the zaps to the tagged recipients ⚡️

You’re right. It won’t be necessary when NIP-57 is updated and clients implement the split natively https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/pull/552
