My dude... use the extra space. Repeat the 12 words so it's harder for the seed to be destroyed by melting or anything like that

No problem, from what I understand a 24 word seed is just increased complexity and redundancy without actually adding increased security. Also becomes more difficult for a loved one who’s not a hardcore Bitcoiner to recover the keys in an emergency. And finally it takes twice a long to punch in 24 words over 12 words and makes it twice as difficult if you live in an apartment with hallow walls 😂
a 12 word seed phrase provides about 128 bits of entropy, a 24 word about 256 bits of entropy. The higher the entropy, the more secure against brute-force attacks...
