Microplastics from the material gets in our bodies through our skin. The microplastics, harsh chrmicles, and dyes also get into our water supply from polyester production.

It is an endocrine disruptor and I believe I've read that it can lead to cancer as well.

Also very hard to get the stink out of if you have hard water.
