actually no… i tested this with research grade lab equipment back when i was in the optics labs @ RPI and this is false. the red tint hack (found in color filters) does MUCH more to limit the amount of blue light emitted.
the night shift does absolutely nothing to the amount of blue light emitted and only increase the green. not to mention, a few papers show that for some photo sensitive people, green wavelengths may also stop the melatonin conversion…

I use night shift during the day and the Color Filter at night
