main net or LN? If you want to have some zapping fun with him while explaining Bitcoin to him use Alby or WoS or any other easy to use LN wallet. If you want to teach him about main net and assuming that the little one has a phone you could opt for Mycelium or Electrum.

My boy turns 13 today, he just finished up the first “Internet of Money” book from Andreas Antonopoulos.
I think it’s incredibly important to get the young involved with bitcoin and teach them how money actually works as soon as possible 🤙🏼

I've always thought #BlueWallet was one of the best for teaching #bitcoin. It just works but you can turn on more features, even a virtual vault.
Some #wallets are incredibly easy to use. #FreeWallet is one. Edge is another.
