Is it possible that Veganism is an eating disorder?

No just a mental one

Indoctrination is a very powerful tool.

(See food pyramid)

The mistaken belief you're doing something good for the environment is powerful.

IMO it's definitely an eating disorder.

I’ve been told I have an eating disorder because I care about what I eat. People are so fucked.

From personal experience and blood tests, a balanced vegan diet is just fine, except I just found out that I was living for years with B12 deficiency ( sadly not deemed worth checking in normal blood tests by my doc)

That oversight resulted in day to day life disorder for me that only ended when I supplemented a strict plant based diet with local goat cheese and eggs and recently the odd can of sardines.

That seems to keep me very happy, and positive and realistically true to my principles, full of B12.

Probable!

I also question the people that spend endless time in the gym. So many of them have a story that starts with “how I overcame bulimia by working out for 120 hours a week.” Whenever someone becomes monodimensional by sinking all their time, money or thoughts into a single narrow purpose, insanity will sneak in.

I’m a different crazy. I’m a bit of an autodidact, which can appear to be adhd but I assure you .. oh look a squirrel.

When I haven’t seen people for months, I know they will be talking about whatever major league sport is in season (for which they have no actual vested interest) and then they will say “how’s your farm” and I will reply “it’s going well, wanna see the gaming computer I’m building” it’s unnerving to them. The farm is still going well, but I have broadened myself, my mind, and my body. They still just want to talk about sportsball.

Doesn't veganism start with the delusion that humans are herbivores? In that way it is similar to anorexia and bulimia in which the victim has a false image of herself or himself? All are founded on a deluded sense of self.

I don't think most of India would agree with that.

A lot of vegans seem to have a lot of disorders. I’m not sure which came first though 😬

Certainly can be for some people. I’d say anyone that has a strict diet routine and can’t allow themselves to “cheat” occasionally may have an eating disorder. It seems to be more about their concept of “clean” or “safe” foods. More than the actual health outcomes of the “cheat day”.
