Having local connections is the best. We were able to exchange some eastern red cedar logs with a #local #sawmill. They were able to saw true dimension 6x6 posts, 2x8, 2x6, and 2x4s for our lean-to #project we’ll be starting soon. All he wanted in exchange was log for log. That right there is what #community and social capital is all about!!

He milled 4 logs for me and I gave him 4 logs to keep.
Lit, what was the circumference on those? Or diameter
The minimum was 12” on the smaller side. Most of the ones we brought were 15” up to 22”.
