I'm having an interesting new bug or something with Amethyst that I'm curious if others have experienced.
In the past day, the app no longer shows names, profile pictures etc. After switching accounts and back, I have zero posts showing in All Following or Global feed. Relays implying 3/3 (relay.noswhere.com, nostr.wine, relay.nostr.band).
I've tried force closing the app to refresh and nothing is showing up.

did your relay list get reset? I've had that happen, though not in a while
yes. looking for the cause now. suspect it was primal
actually after further analysis this is a bug in amethyst introduced in 0.83.4
relates to the relays for search support anf how initialized. for anyone finding their relays reset to just 3 (relay.nostr.band, nostr.wine, relay.noswhere.com) no notes and bots for pfps, re-add relays manually or start with defaults. the code tries to set search relays if none of existing in user set are search. it does this based on pulling latest contact list relays. if that failed the list is wiped to just the 3 default search relays
I've been having a boatload of npubs and not IDs show up and I see bot faces and not PFPs. I'll have to close and reopen a handful of times before they start showing again. But nothing like this.
It's got me worried that VicGPT is having tech troubles though.
this was my experience.
restart, uninstall, reinstall etc didnt resolve.
fixed by putting in relays that were somehow overwritten
