I know too many people who are aware but lack the curiosity mainly because of either laziness or too big of an ego

It was their lack of curiosity that prevented them, not you. You cared enough to make them aware

Yea I have a cousin who asks me from time to time where should he invest some of his money.
I have shilled him Bitcoin when it was 300, than again when it was 3k, 6k, 12k and last month again at 30k - he’s just lazy but than again he is successful doctor and professor so I get he doesn’t have time and capacity to study economics and Bitcoin.
In the end I told him “eventually you’ll buy it at the price you deserve”
These situations made me stop shilling it to people - it’s just a headache
