Absolutely! I was thinking about this mainly because of how centralized these ridesharing apps have become. In the sense of Government laws, etc, etc.

It started as a "anybody can share a ride in your car" and it's now a "you need 50 licenses or go to jail" thing. And it would be really cool to have a ride share / Uber inspired app for Bitcoinerss/Nostriches.

The goal is to **create more economic opportunity, more efficient travel, more connection between Bitcoiners**. A ride share for Bitcoiners basically. Like Blablacar for Bitcoiners. How could would that be?

i like the idea of a bitcoin-driven uber-like app, which should in my opinion be open for everybody. reputation management will be of tremendious importance for both drivers and guests. also some mechanism to guarantee anonymity against law enforcement would be desireable, at least on the technical level. is nostr the right platform for something like this? i don't know, i am too less familiar with nostr details and specifications....

Great comment. Yeah, at a technical level I think it's pretty possible to make everything invisible. Because you can encrypt everything, location sending, etc, etc, etc.

I think Nostr is a great platform for identity and reputation management, in general. So yeah, it could be great for this too.

In other words, an npub and being able to verify that this npub made a review on another npub is fundamental. It's a system of vouching for one another in essence. A voucher system can or probably really should be built with Nostr. Because what else could be better in this case?

let's assume we use nostr. route planning and pricing will be huge challenges. i wonder if openstreetmap is a viable option here, any experience on this? effort-wise, implementing a usable mvp for such an app will require quite some resources... how to stem initial development? how to ensure ongoing development/maintenance?
