How do you think this should be managed going forward?
Up to the relay managers to decide or that’s just part of the experience, as it’s always been on the internet?

Verify, double verify, do your due diligence, ask around, don’t send any money to anyone unless you’re doing it for fun zapping.
This, 100%. But.
I am on Plebeian Market and am compelled to add a footnote to your note.
We have difficulties similar to yours but from an additional perspective and it seems like yours, mine and many of the above issues could be solved, potentially simultaneously.
PM is still in development and Stalls have a barebones backend. To process a sail, delivery etc details are required. This must involve going off platform (PM). I receive no notifications directly. This coupled with many are not daily users, messaging security, various bugs etc can create a delayed and extended process for both leading to an often adrenalised exchange.
We have successfully navigated this but we are always in the same but exact opposite situation as you.
We are trying to create a workflow to mitigate and any suggestions your audience might have would be nostrmazing. Thanks. Great note topic 💪⚡
SimpleX is better for DMs. I'd rather Nostr concentrated on public notes.
I was more thinking about the spam 💜
Mute lists
that plus muting words 💜
I just want to mute 'airdrop' and life will be so much better
have a great idea about this, let’s see 💜👀
You don't want a shitcoin airdrop? ^^
Even if a single one of them was legit, the hoops you have to jump through to earn them aren't worth it.
Mute words works better if you are not interested in a topic.
For spam if you mute ‘airdrop’ then the next day it will be 'air drop’ and then ‘giveaway’, and then ‘token’ until we end up with the same spam as twitter:
'Whyy is everyonee silent about thisss??’
There's something to be said about that.
