fighting with people over what software they run is mostly unproductive, run what you want, thats the whole point

I think your premise is correct, but in the real world, running software that has the very real potential to kill the p2p layer of bitcoin. i think that is worth fighting over, don't you?

i do not think relaxed tx relay defaults in core will “kill the p2p layer of bitcoin” but i do think node operators should have more choices
