Artificial intelligence is the biggest psyop of the 21st century.
Until now google showed you the results they wanted, but in the end, it is critical thinking who has to discern between the different results and opinions.
Now with artificial intelligence, they only show you a single result, a single opinion, total and absolute opinion manipulation.
That's very Google specific. "Real" AI is a whole different animal, things a going to change massively over the next decade because of it and probably not for the better...!!

AI is the worst thing man has ever created (and that's a pretty high bar, considering nuclear weapons, COVID, etc.)
And the worst is yet to come...
it will get worse before it gets better. but have faith in humanity.
the mood of change is already in the air. the young guard is arriving. the noise you hear now, is disgruntled old men being forced to leave the bastion. they will be gone soon.
and ai - how will it work out what is fake news? and if it does, how will it make amends when there is nobody to teach it?
somehow i feel we will come out ok. just be ready for the bumps.

AI could be a tool for good--yet I GUARANTEE you that it will end up being used by many for evil...you mention fake news--were that the only evil purpose for which it's used for I'd be overjoyed.
Totalitarianism is just a short step for many politicians, and make no mistake--all of them (by definition) seek power over others. AI has the power to give them that full authority.
Future souls will look back at us in just a very few years and say "How could those people have let this happen? Didn't they see the warning signs?"
And what will we say? Because the signs are there...and most are choosing to ignore them.

look how much it can do for you. look how productive your day will be. so many benefits for you whilst you completely forget how much ip and privacy you are dispensiing for free.
like every tool, it can used for good or bad.
the quest is how to prevent the latter. the default for the small minded meglomaniacs. the masses, they just want to earn a crust.
when they can't because ai evicted them from a job ....
